This was the first meeting of the FAC at its new home on the south side of the Marketplace. A record thirty-two cars turned up!

On a personal note, I have enjoyed setting up and working on this website for the past six years. It is now time to hand over the reins to a new administrator. Ray Davies

The AGM went well last night, taking all of fifteen minutes, and the following Committee Meeting sorted out all the essential roles with Jim Biggie as Chairman. Considering the awful weather, it was pleasing to see that twenty-eight people attended. Geoff did a good job taking the minutes for the AGM and Dennis did the same for the Committee meeting. We also agreed to invite the JEC to the Mike Tomlin Run. The NARS demonstration was excellent with members joining in with CPR and using the defibrillator, and Heather’s raffle raised £72 for NARS.

The Club Breakfast at Roughton Groveland this morning was attended by thirty-seven members all of whom enjoyed the food and especially the coffee. The service was a little on the slow side but understandably so as one chef didn’t turn up! Thanks, Brian, for arranging the event and to Annie for the photos.

The winter walk this year started at Blakeney quay and we walked to Morston quay for a coffee and back to Blakeney for lunch at The Manor Coastal Hotel & Inn. There were thirty of us dining, not all of whom did the walk. Who can blame them: it was bitterly cold in the unrelenting wind and it was so good to get back to the warmth and comfort of the hotel. The food was good and plenty of it. They also had an unusual starter – a mini ploughmans, which worked really well. Thank you, Jim for arranging all this with your usual aplomb.

The first club breakfast of the year was at Pensthorpe and was very well attended. Thanks to David for organizing this event and to Mike Caesari for the photos.

Club Night at The Gallow during which Jim presented a cheque for £2612 to Michelle and Maddi who gratefully received it on behalf of NANSA, (Norfolk and Norwich SEND Association). This record amount was raised from raffles, rally events and charity box collections over the year, a reflection of the hard work and dedication by many FAC members. We were also given a presentation by Lucy and Joe from NARS, (Norfolk Accident Rescue Service), which is our new charity for 2025. NARS is a group of volunteers who provide urgent life-saving treatment to people throughout Norfolk who may be victims of accidents or medical emergencies. NARS relies entirely on charitable donations and receives no government funding for its vital work. NARS representatives will be attending our AGM meeting on 26th February at The Gallow to give a more detailed presentation including a CPR resuscitation demonstration. Thanks Dennis for the photos.
